Katy Samwell’s dance pseudonym from the 90s, Katy Allen, is back releasing new material!

Her latest offering with dance gurus Mickey Bono & Phunk is out now on Next Plateau Entertainment NYC, ‘Lose Control’ Phunk & Beat Thillerz Featuring Katy Allen!

Katy has worked with some great producers over the years including Mickey Bono, Granite & Phunk, Carl Ryden, Mark Yardley (Stanton Warriors), David James (Hed Kandi), DJ Paulo Jackson, Angel Anx & DJ Aleksji, Nicole Jenkinson (Sugababes), PFM, Kinky Rowland, Groove Invaderz and had releases on Toolroom Records, Next Plateau Entertainment, Big Mouth Productions, 51st Recordings, Ultra Vinyl, NBD Recordings & Good Looking Records.

Tracks have been featured on Ministry of Sound’s’ Housexy After Party’, Warner’s ‘Chemical Generation’ & Boy George ‘Trust The DJ’. With more exciting collaborations on the way, watch this space!…..

Katy’s live performances include Fiction at The Cross, Ruby at Canvas, DTPM, Pop, The Jazz Cafe, The Gardening Club, UEA & the MEFFYs award ceremony in Monaco. Session vocals included Disney, Matt Schwartz (Deepest Blue/Dada), Reddmoon & Odette.

Currently working on her own new singer/songwriter material as well as writing & producing with Joe Fields (Amy MacDonald, Dido, Lemar, Hybrid, Sway, Hybrid & Duran Duran)
